"The images included in the Yellow Boat series are spontaneous shots of the natural Caribbean environment taken during my travels around the islands. The images were initially shot in black and white and later rendered with a fusion of alternative processes including bleaching, toning and hand coloring. With these pictures I wanted to explore combining old and new photographic techniques to achieve a look which reflects the character of the islands, a world which is light filled, color saturated and at the same time worn and weathered. I
